Daniel Moak is a licensed paralegal in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario, and he has over ten years of experience. Daniel has represented hundreds of clients in the Landlord and Tenant Board, Human Rights Tribunal, and Small Claims Court. Daniel has also tought many paralegal students and he has a deep understanding of legal principles, statutes, case law, and legal procedures. Landlord and Tenant Board
The Landlord and Tenant Board ( LTB ) is the tribunal with the authority to resolve disagreements between landlords and tenants and can provide you with information about your rights and responsibilities under the Residential Tenancies Act, 2006 .
Human Rights Tribunal
The HRTO handles complaints of discrimination and harassment based on protected grounds (e.g., race, religion, gender, disability) in various social areas like employment, housing, and services.
Small Claims Court
Small Claims Court is a specialized court designed to resolve disputes involving relatively small amounts of money or property, typically up to a certain limit (e.g., $35,000 in Ontario). It's often referred to as the "People's Court" because it provides a more accessible and less formal forum for individuals and small businesses to resolve their disputes compared to higher courts.
